DVVA Social Isolation Team

The core work is determined by Scottish Government, DHSCP and NatureScot. Each workstream takes an assets-based approach and utilizes the key benefits of involving people and volunteers. The programs have volunteers from all walks of life and each have brought their own strengths, knowledge and experiences.  

The program comprises of:

· Community Companions: One-to-One befriending, community cafes and intergenerational activities. 

· Dial-OP (telephone-based information and support): Information Helpline, Morning Call and Blether Buddies.  

· Green Health: Prescriptions, outdoor activities, and ReDiscover Dundee electric bikes and trikes.

· One Stop Shop: single referral system and intervention for individuals who are or could be at risk of social isolation.  

· Engagement and Participation Adult and Older People representative within communities across the 8 Dundee wards.
